Performance of quartz glass tubes
Quartz glass is a special industrial technology glass made of silicon dioxide, which is a very excellent basic material. Quartz glass has a series of excellent physical and chemical properties, such as:
1. High temperature resistance. The softening point temperature of quartz glass is about 1750 ℃, and it can be used for a long time at 1200 ℃, with a maximum temperature of 1450 ℃ in a short period of time.
2. Corrosion resistance. Except hydrofluoric acid, quartz glass hardly reacts with other acids. Its acid resistance is 30 times that of ceramics and 200 times that of stainless steel, especially its chemical stability at high temperature, which is unmatched by any other engineering materials.
3. Good transparency. Quartz glass sheets have excellent transmittance throughout the entire spectral range from ultraviolet to infrared, with a visible light transmittance of over 95%, especially in the ultraviolet spectral region, with a maximum transmittance of over 80%.
4. Good electrical insulation performance. The resistance value of quartz glass is 10000 times that of ordinary glass, making it an excellent electrical insulation material with good electrical properties even at room temperature.
5. Good thermal stability. The coefficient of thermal expansion of the adaptive glass is very small, and it can withstand severe temperature changes. When the quartz glass is heated to about 1100 ℃, it will not explode in normal temperature water.
Quartz tube specifications:
Outer diameter range: Φ 1mm - Φ 300mm
Wall thickness range: 1mm -5mm
Length range: 10mm -4500mm, special sizes can be customized according to customer requirements for production
Application of quartz glass tube
Quartz glass tubes can be used as test tube lamps, viewing cups, diffusion tubes, protective tubes, isolation tubes, laboratory equipment, high-temperature resistant materials, and other purposes.
Instructions for using quartz glass tubes
1. Quartz glass products are precious and rare materials that must be handled with care and great care when used.
2. All types of quartz glass have a maximum operating temperature, which should not be exceeded during use, otherwise it may crystallize or soften and deform.
3. Quartz glass that needs to be used at high temperatures must be wiped clean before use. You can soak it in 15% hydrofluoric acid or lotion, and then rinse it with high-purity water or alcohol treatment. When operating, thin wire gloves should be worn and direct contact with quartz glass with hands is not allowed.
4. Continuous use of quartz glass products is allowed at high temperatures, which is beneficial for extending the lifespan of quartz glass and improving its temperature resistance. On the contrary, intermittent use of quartz glass products at high temperatures has a limited number of uses.
5. Quartz glass is an acidic material that should be strictly avoided from contact with alkaline substances (such as water glass, asbestos, potassium sodium compounds, etc.) when used at high temperatures, otherwise its anti crystallization performance will be greatly reduced.
6. Although quartz glass material has extremely high thermal stability, it can withstand severe temperature fluctuations. However, in practical use, due to differences in residual strain and product shape, there are certain differences in thermal stability, and attention should be paid when using.
